Remember my last issue with Grease Monkeys?
I went to go get my motorcycle inspected today… hah, after 3 years. Pardon me, but some guy in a garage is going to tell me my bike is safe? Um, I don’t think a little sticker is going to make riding any safer… anyone else feel the same way?
Now, like most sportbikes around here…. mine is illegal. Not a little illegal. A lot illegal. 
Me: “Hey, can I get a safety inspection done?”
Grease Monkey: “Uh sure. Man, that bike sure looks fast.”
Me: “Yeah, most bikes are.”
Grease Monkey: “So how do you like the Yamaha’s?”
Me: “Pretty good. I’ve ridden this thing into the ground and she always comes back for more.”
Grease Monkey: “Yeah, I’m thinking about getting one of these some day.”
Me: “That’s cool. Maybe I’ll see you out on the road sometime.”
And with that…. he put the sticker on my bike.
What’s that you ask? When did he look at my bike? Hah. That was it. A nice cursory glance at my motorcycle from 10 feet away was enough for him to determine that my bike was safe.
There you have it folks- I am now riding on a safe motorcycle! Yay!
