New Stuff

September 30th, 2005

That’s right people. There’s new stuff going on with the blog!

Look to your right, I’ve put up a link to my Amazon Wishlist… if you really love me, you’ll buy me something.

You probably owe me money anyways, why not just buy me a book? :)

Confused

Saw a Corona van pulling a Miller Lite trailer the other day. WTF.

On another note, that reminds me of a time when I made fun of a certain buddy of mine for drinking “Lite” beer. Little did I know that I had accidentally picked one up too. Heh. Ah, the good ol’ days.

John Muia, 30, of Jersey City, was sentenced to 90 days in jail for walking out without paying after ordering several expensive meals at high-class restaurants in Weehawken. But he reportedly won’t do any additional jail time for crime No. 2: Leaving feces wrapped in a napkin on his seat.

He’s a real party pooper

Man, Ruth’s Chris is one of my favorite restaurants. Boo on this guy for pooping there.

I am a Trekkie at heart.

Dr. Evil would be excited

September 28th, 2005

Apparently some dolphins with poison darts got out of Lake Pontchartrain with some help from Katrina.

Presumably, the actual firing would be done by remote control, rather than by the dolphins, who may be really smart, but who do not have hands with which to press the firing button for the “fricking darts,” nor, for that matter, any “fricking laser beams attached to their heads.”

Alas, the Navy has now revealed that they don’t have “killer dolphins.” Damn. That would’ve been kinda cool.

Yet another FOB parody

Slacker Manager: Fast track yourself

September 26th, 2005

I think most of the people that read this blog probably went to school with me at one time or another… here’s a pretty good article that, I think, relates to all of us as we begin (or have already begun) our careers.

Being a fast tracker isn’t a cake walk. Candidates are often given serious challenges within the organization, to see how they can perform. The payoff, of course, is increased responsibility and increased compensation.

Kanye, tell us how you really feel

September 22nd, 2005

You’ve probably already seen this… but here’s another link to a post that has the video available for viewing.

I’m not going to agree/disagree with Kanye’s eloquent observations, but I think he deserves a pat on the back for saying what he wanted to say in front of millions of people.

I would have given anything to see the faces of the people producing this telethon while all this was going on… heh.
